I am transhuman. | 2021

The video work is based on a repetitive gesture that loops on two monitors: a close-up shows two persons each taking a contact lens out of their eye and putting it back in, as well as the object of the contact lens without human interaction. Rhythmic sound patterns and overlaid text fragments (generated by software that writes on its own) control the focus and blur in the image.

In the context of the work, I am currently dealing with transhumanist themes: Physicalities and nature versus and in interaction with artificial intelligence - and here specifically the eyes as gateways to the brain and branchings of levels and pathways of perception.
